It is good to see some of the resourceful photoshoots and solid bits of drawing that have been going on. So you can check you are up to date here is a list of everything that should be complete by Monday 12th March:
- Research into Quentin Blake's illustration (print out several examples of his work and include personal analysis of his technique, background information and at least one visual response).
- Research into at least 2 Films that are based on works by Roald Dahl. Again include vital information: director, year made, lead actors, some personal written response and good images from the film.
- Initial brainstorming and photoshoot storyboarding for 3 scenes from your chosen Roald Dahl story. At least 3 pages of storyboards with annotation, plus breakdown of requirements for your shoot (models, location, props, make up, lighting etc.).
- Examples of good existing storyboards presented in your sketchbook with analysis (e.g. work by Josh Sheppard).
- Contact sheets of your photoshoot/s you should have a good range of shots to work with.
- A5 or A4 printouts of several of your best shots.

Hope Gangloff |
Research into 2 illustrators whose work focusses on strong drawing technique such as Esra Roise, David Foldvari and Hope Gangloff. As usual include good reproductions, background information and analysis of technique.
A range of fantastic drawn responses to your photography, these should include at least 2 really good sustained full page tonal pencil drawings. You should have a minimum of 4 other drawings, exploring technique (linear, expressive) and media (ink, biro, fineliner).
Good Luck, I look forward to seeing your sketchbooks taking shape.
